Media accreditation has opened for Koktebel Jazz Party international jazz festival. The festival’s organizing committee has also confirmed the dates of the 18th season: the artistic village located in one of the most picturesque areas of Crimea will welcome jazz stars and everyone who enjoy jazz music on August 21–23.
Apply for accreditation at the festival’s website koktebel-jazz.ru. The accreditation gives the right to cover the festival, use the press center, attend media events, visit the ground zone during concerts and use the Simferopol-Koktebel-Simferopol route on all the days of the festival. During the festival, updates on events will be sent via text message and email.
The organizing committee will comply with all the necessary coronavirus-related sanitary requisites of the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing to ensure the safety of the participants and the audiences.
Koktebel Jazz Party was established in 2003 as a private initiative of the founder of Koktebel jazz, journalist Dmitry Kiselev. A small Crimean village gave its name to the festival, which today holds a prized place in the list of global jazz festivals. Traditionally, the organizers keep the names of star participants secret. In various years, the festival was attended by the iconic jazz drummer Jimmy Cobb (US), Grammy winner for the best Latin jazz album Gonzalo Rubalcaba (Cuba), American bass guitarist and double bass player Stanley Clarke, famous for his innovative playing technique, nu jazz stars Club Des Belugas (Germany), a unique sax player Robert Anchipolovsky (Israel), and De-Phazz band from Heidelberg, Germany. President of Russia Vladimir Putin was a guest of the KJP in 2017.
Koktebel Jazz Party offers not just the best of the world’s jazz but the united vibes of music, sea, body and soul, born from true freedom. The festival is held by Rossiya Segodnya International Information Agency and organized by the Red Square media group. Since 2014, Koktebel Jazz Party has been held with the support of the Russian Ministry of Culture.
The National State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (VGTRK), Radio JAZZ 89.1 FM, the TVZAVR internet cinema and Sputnik Radio will be the festival’s information partners.
